Hank: You won't remember me, but I remember the One Shot Antelope Hunts every year in Atlantic City, Wyoming, out of Lander. The first time I met you in the Atlantic City Mercantile, I brought my records for you to autograph a few: well you were looking for your second album, which I had with me and you had a master made of it. I was glad I could help. I still have all of your albums if you need any. I was sorry to see the Life membership of the fan club dissipate. Look me up if you ever get to Sacramento. Best Regards, Bill (916)927-8786

I crossed paths with you back in the 50's when you & your band played the Frontier Days thing in Guthrie, Oklahoma. My band was the one playing in the old theater there at the time and your woman singer (won't mention her name) came down and sang a few songs with me & my band. I've sung your songs in almost all the 50 states since my high school years there in Oklahoma. I'm originally from just north of Tulsa.
Keep up the good work! I think your chicken song with Jr Brown is a gas!

It's been years since I saw or heard from you Hank. You were living on Redonda Street in Dallas, Texas when we first met. I had written a song "Your Name and Mine Carved in a Heart" and you liked it very much. In fact you used it on your McClendon radio show in Dallas. I still have the copyright with the letter from you when Peer International copywrited it for us.

I do hope your life is well and it would be great to hear from you again.
I do hope you remember our friendship back then. You were still an infant in the music business then.

Hi Hank,
It's been a real pleasure listening and playing your music the last 35 years. I have had a country band for almost 20 of those years. A good and long time friend, Mildred Keith and I were looking at old pictures of you and the boys just today. I'm making reprints to frame and to go on my wall in my office. You've always been the "King of Western Swing and country music together. Mildred and I missed you last week when you were in Independence, Mo. She was in Bakersfield visiting Buck Owens at the Crystal Palace. Again, I hope I get to meet you and you have been a real inspiration for while learning Swing and Jazz. Keep playin' that "Honky Tonk" music. We love it!
May God Bless you and your family,
Bud
